Implement Business Excellence Best Practices and Processes for Africa, taking cognizance of the changing macro and local pharmaceutical environment. Understanding critical data points for driving market understanding (i.e. birth cohort, accessible market etc.) Provide critical validated data driving assumptions (treatment numbers, co – prescribing insights etc.) Diagnose, Investigates and Recommends rectification steps as required for strategic and or standard commercial operations across Africa Monitor, maintain and report sales force effectiveness (SFE) initiatives within the MCO (Africa) Track and report on strategic commercially aligned SFE priorities (E.g. Launch, penetration strategy) Robust technical skills in data analysis and presentation format Develop Implement and Measure Sales and Marketing strategic objectives and activities via the development of Business Intelligence Tools , to achieve the predetermined sales and profitability. This would include the appropriate allocation of the Sales and Marketing resource based on analysis. Assist Commercial Operations in the management of the business planning process , as required by Region, including completing templates, providing market, sales and competitor information, as well as co-coordinating the entire Business Planning Process. Assimilate data and develop pricing models or any other modeling as required by the affiliate or Industry Bodies, in order to assist with shaping the various key market pricing strategy, and assessing the impact of legislation on our business (where appropriate) • Responsible for mobile communication device and account management by developing cost effective solutions and maintaining reporting platforms on such • Responsible for the development and implementation of Business Excellence Strategic direction and ensure that BEX Africa is appropriately resourced ,managed and developed o Support the implementation of Business excellence best practice across BEX structure in Africa o Responsible for the operational leadership of the Business Excellence division within the matrix structure of the organisation Build and develop business partnerships with all required Commercial Heads. Drive appropriate customer segmentation in the local affiliate and ensure aligned marketing response to segments. Supports ad-hoc requests and business intelligence needs for BEX MCO partners South African responsibilities (30% of role): Track IMS/ImpactRx/other relative market data and ensure that data is translated into information for the local affiliate to be used to make strategic business decisions Develop and maintain doctor prescribing information data base and to ensure this information is translated into information to assist line managers in PSR doctor targeting, and to assist marketing to make strategic decisions, based on this information. Responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of the CRM system – key to CRM management systems, employee management and structure design Maintain the continuous development of the Electronic Territory Management System (ETMS) , to ensure it complies with requirements and remains the industry benchmark in South Africa. Complete and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required. Provide analysis and comment on aforementioned reports. Supports financial reporting i.e. SISO analysis, Customer Support Tools in collaboration with local leadership team Business support to play an integral role in the development and maintenance of sales force incentive schemes and to ensure that incentive payments are paid accurately and timeously, following an authorization and approval process. Thorough understanding of required (local/global) SFE policies and SOP’s Ensures compliant practices and processes JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Education : Business (commercial) education essential, ideally with scientific and/or Medical/Analytical background. Ideally Master level graduate with experience in research methodology. Experience & knowledge: Proven management experience and success in a marketing and/or sales/commercial position; good knowledge of regulatory, healthcare environment, macro-economic situation. demonstrated a high level of technical ,analytical and numerical skill Core Competencies : Demonstrates success as a seasoned Marketing/Sales/ Analytical professional within a multi-national pharmaceutical environment. As Best Practice Champion, demonstrates excellent knowledge of practices in sales and marketing within the Pharmaceutical Industry. Ability to interact at an MCO level, and present key issues clearly and succinctly. Demonstrates capacity to understand medical, econminc ,regulatory, financial issues and their impact on the Commercial function Able to lead efficiently enage within the broader matrix organization and foster professionalism in the team through consistent and effective anlaysis and data generation Highly focused and drives to set for her/himself, and help others to set for themselves, ambitious objectives.
